Morningside Blight Brigade Scores Its First Win
Our first meeting last month was a productive one, and since blight is everyone’s concern, we hope you’ll join us on the fourth Saturday of each month from 9:30 to 10:30 at the Morningside Café.

Our neighborhood used to be a difficult place to find good sit-down restaurants, but that’s rapidly changing. Baobab Fare, which specializes in cuisine from Burundi in eastern Africa, is making good progress toward opening its second location on E. Warren and Grayton.

Water Service Line Program Expanded in Morningside

St. Matthew’s Parish Receives National Recognition as Historic Site
Morningside residents can easily recognize the copper clad bell towers atop St. Matthew’s Parish at the intersection of Harper and Whittier Avenues. The rich architecture and history of this iconic landmark was officially recognized in November when the National Park Service added St. Matthew’s to the National Register of Historic Places.
