Brilliant Detroit Morningside Welcomes New Team Member

Hi there! My name is Esther Kawesa, and I am the new Community Engagement Manager at the Brilliant Detroit Morningside hub. With almost 10 years of nonprofit experience, working at organizations like Grads of Life and United Way, I am so excited to now serve the Morningside community.

I am an operations enthusiast and DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) champion, whose driving force is to create sustainable and positive impact in the lives of those I serve. When I’m not working you can find me making wall decor or scoping out live music, poetry slams, and anything else that has to do with the art scene.
