Detroit Yarn Haulers Make a Comeback
After a very long absence, the Detroit Yarn Haulers has found a wonderful spot to gather at the East Warren Farmers Market beginning on July 7, 2022, 5 - 8pm, located at 16835 East Warren (the old Pizza Hut site).
Folks can again gather to crochet, knit, embroider, needlepoint, quilt, hand sew, and any other textile fiber art. Everyone is welcome to participate regardless of their skill level. So, haul in your yarn (and fabric and thread) and sit a spell at this wonderful market.
Enjoy and partake of vendors and the music. Bring a chair and your own supplies. There are always food vendors available which provides many dinner options. We will be out in the open, so sunscreen is a good idea.
Remember that this is not a class. However, if you are a beginner textiler, others will be able to help you. We will discuss if this will continue every Thursday or just periodically. I also have in mind a field trip to Michigan Fine Yarns and a lunch at Anna's House on a Saturday.
Please note that our gatherings are not selling moments. If you are interested in selling your items, you must register as a vendor. I currently am registered and will be vending in mid-July.
Please spread the word about the market and our gatherings. Together we can thrive as a community if we support one another.
