Explore Ultra-Violet at the Jefferson Branch Library

Learn about the benefits and dangers of ultraviolet (UV) rays by making your own UV Kid with special light-sensitive beads. Use sunscreen, foil, paper, and more to test materials that might protect your UV Kid from being exposed to too much UV radiation.

Join us for STEM Saturday at 2 p.m. on January 21 at the Jefferson Branch Library!

This program is made possible by the NASA @ My Library program, offered by The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). It is designed for school-aged children, tweens up to 13, and families. It is not suitable for children three and younger.
