Jefferson Branch Celebrates Black Culinary Arts

Food – its cultivation, preparation, and enjoyment - are embedded in African American history and culture. The 2023 African American Booklist highlights this history in Beyond the Kitchen: The Culinary Legacy of African Americans. Books featured on this list are available now at the Jefferson Branch Library. They have also set up a recipe box where everyone is welcome to stop by and share some of their favorite recipes, which will be put on display later in the spring.
