This Month’s Offerings at Next Chapter Books

November 14 (Thursday) - 5-7 PM - InsideOut Detroit Youth Performance Troupe Chapbook Release. InsideOut's 2024 Detroit Youth Performance Troupe is taking the stage to celebrate a year-long coaching process! New and old poems will be performed alongside the announcement of their 2024 poetry collection.

November 16 (Saturday) ***@ 11 AM*** STEM Storytime w/Dinosaurs and the Michigan Science Center! Bring the family for a dinothemed reading, art project, hands-on fossil activities, and photos with our guest, T-Rex! Register here to reserve your spot. Registered families will receive free passes to see the new "Tyrannosaurs - Meet the Family" exhibit at the Science Center.

November 21 (Thursday): 6-8 PM Open Mic. Calling all Poets, Storytellers, and musicians. Step up to the mic and show the Eastside your talent. This is a low-pressure, cozy place to share your creativity.

November 23 (Saturday) - @ 10 AM - Children's Storytime! Bring your littles and listen to Ms. Sarah read some of our favorite books.

November 28 (Thursday) CLOSED - Happy Thanksgiving!

November 30 (Saturday) 10-5 Small Business Saturday! Shop Small, Shop Local! In addition to many new exciting titles, we've added shelves of gifts, games, puzzles, and more to the store this fall. Come celebrate small business and start your holiday shopping!

December 7 (Saturday) Dog Man is Coming! In celebration of the release of Dav Pilkey's new graphic novel Dog Man: Big Jim Begins (Dec. 3), Dog Man will be live and in-person at Next Chapter Books! Stop in to meet this beloved character, take a photo and purchase your copy in time for Christmas. Details are coming soon!
