Brilliant Detroit MorningSide wants to celebrate the people who teach children first, our parents/guardians. Our summer camp will be filled with volunteers and parents alike who will help aid in the daily operations process of the summer camp. Each Parent as First Teacher will be compensated for their time with us to show our appreciation of how much our parents/guardians really are the lifeline to our community and organization! This group has also been trained to host certain literacy programs, which allows our Parent as First Teachers to become role models for multiple kids in our community and not just for their own.
