Neighborhood Bike Ride this Saturday (6/25) at 10:00am

Join your neighbors on Saturday, June 25th, as we visit one of the most interesting (and mystifying!) houses in the eastside.

Located just outside Morningside, 4234 Lakewood is the passion project of Charles E. Brooks Jr, a pastor and construction business owner who has lived at the residence for over 20 years.

We'll meet Pastor Brooks and learn about the project. A few participants will even win a copy of his memoir.

The bike ride will be about 4 miles total.

Participants will meet up at Three Mile Park (4400 Three Mile Drive) at 10am. From there, we cruise the neighborhood, biking west until we arrive at 4234 Lakewood. After meeting him and getting a short history of the project, we will head back to Three Mile Park. The bike ride should wrap up by noon.

All riders are encouraged to wear bike helmets. If you have questions or concerns, please call Nic Hall at 815-354-2092.

Hope to see you Saturday morning!

FYI, participants will not be able to walk inside the gates and tour the property. Pastor Brooks will come outside, introduce himself, and talk about the project. We will stick to the sidewalk and berm. Just want to be clear and manage expectations! —NH
