Now is Your Chance to Help Shape Detroit’s Future

The city is undertaking an ambitious project – updating the Master Plan. They describe it as a “roadmap” to guide future development and spending priorities. Much has changed since 2009, when the plan was last updated. The country was in the throes of the Great Recession then, and Detroit was feeling the pain much more than many cities.

Conditions have changed, largely for the better, so we now have the luxury to dream a little. The city is asking for residents to share their vision for our future over the coming months through Department of Neighborhoods meetings and through a survey available until the end of this month.
